Howdy!

I believe that design is where science and art break even.  I'm able to combine my love for aesthetics with my scientific approach to problem-solving, all while putting people at the center of my designs. I’m excited to continue to explore this intersection and create meaningful digital experiences that are both functional and beautiful ✨

When I'm not designing, you can find me playing my favorite Studio Ghibli songs on the piano 🎹, hanging out with my dog Tofu 🐕, or playing video games 🎮.

Besides designing...

You can find me design houses for animal crossing villagers! I am a gaming content creator for Animal Crossing - New Horizons 🏝 on TikTok, Instagram and Youtube. This experience helped me learn to understand the importance of viewer engagement and user behavior, and it was actually the main reason why I made the exciting decision to pivot my career into the beautiful world of UX/UI design ✨

Let me tell you how I got into UX Design

2020
I started working as an optometric technician while finishing up my Bachelor's Degree and getting ready to apply to Optometry School
2021
I graduated from the University of Houston with a degree in Chemistry
2022
I started applying to optometry school, and began creating content for Animal Crossing on TikTok, YouTube and Instagram. My account blew up and I gained about 50,000 followers within 4 months

This was when I realized healthcare wasn't for me, and that's okay! :)

One of my friends said I should look into becoming a UX Designer since I have aways been a creative person. I did some research, enrolled in Designlab UX Academy's Foundations, and the rest is history.
2023
I enrolled in Designlab UX Academy, while also working at a start-up company called OpenKnect, where I where I developed their branding and product from the ground up and working with other teams to help create a state government IT job portal.

During this time, I also helped friends, family and local businesses with their websites, logos, and merch designs.

I enjoy reaching out to small local businesses that don't have a lot of resources for design to offer my help at no charge. It is so rewarding to see how much of an impact my designs have had on people.
2024
I graduated Designlab UX Academy! Job searching was not easy at all, so I sought other opportunities to advance my skills.

Currently, I'm helping UX Design at JudgeUs to develop an iOS app that helps with decision making.
